When Lakeview and Riverside tipoff Friday night, it's more than just a game. The two boys teams will battle each other for the top spot in Region 8-A and a possible first-round bye in the Class A state playoffs.
Right now, Lakeview is ranked 10th in the GHSA power ratings and Riverside is No. 4. According to the GHSA power ratings, the top 8 teams will receive a bye in the first round of the state playoffs. Click here for the GHSA Class A power rating system.
