Several precinct and polling place changes were approved recently by the Forsyth County Board of Voter Registrations and Elections approved multiple precinct and polling place changes. The changes include the addition of five new Election Day polling places that will be effective starting with the 2020 election cycle.
New precinct cards will be mailed to county residents affected by the approved changes by the end of the year.
“These approved changes will improve the voting process for residents,” said Forsyth County Voter Registrations & Elections Director Mandi Smith. “We encourage all residents to review the changes to ensure that they know where they will be voting in 2020.”
Additional proposed precinct boundary changes are currently being considered. These proposed precinct changes will be considered for approval during the board’s scheduled meeting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.).
Precinct boundary maps with the current precinct configurations, along with the proposed precinct changes, are available for review on the Voter Registrations & Elections webpage at forsythco.com.
Printed maps are also on display in the Voter Registrations and Elections Office.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed precinct changes must file his or her objections prior to Dec. 23 at the Forsyth County Voter Registrations & Elections Office.
