The driver of the fatal one-car accident in Clermont has been charged following the death of a Duluth teenager, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Austin Pappe, the 21-year-old man who was driving the night of the accident, was charged with vehicular homicide in the first degree; a seat belt violation; failure to maintain lane; too fast for conditions; and a tires violation.
Taylor Beck, the 16-year-old who was killed in the accident, died on the scene after the vehicle stuck several trees before overturning near the intersection of Holly Springs and Oxford roads. Beck was the backseat passenger when she was ejected from the vehicle.
Pappe was charged Saturday.
