A Dawsonville man has now been charged in a single-vehicle crash that injured everyone in his vehicle, including three young children.

The Georgia State Patrol said Michael Don Land, 38, has been charged with DUI drugs, child endangerment, serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and a child restraint violation in connection with the Jan. 31 crash.

Troopers who investigated the crash said Land was driving his 2005 Buick LaCrosse westbound on SR 136 near Eagle Creek Farm Road when the vehicle veered off the road and down an embankment, striking several trees at the bottom of the embankment.

All five occupants of the vehicle, including Land, were injured. Land's injuries were non-life threatening, according to investigators.

Troopers said a 4-year-old child and a 5-year-old child were taken to Egleston Hospital at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta; they have been released from the hospital. A 6-year-old remains at Egleston, according to GSP.

In addition, an adult passenger in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, identified as Crystal Gooch, remains hospitalized with serious injuries at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
