Heather Riley, a teacher at Mount Vernon Exploratory School, has been named one of Georgia's STEM Scholars.
The designation is for outstanding efforts to engage and improve student learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines.
As a part of this special recognition, the Hall County School System will receive a $500 grant for Rilley to use to purchase STEM education materials for her classroom.
