Ware said he was arrested Monday at a residence on Donna Way, and was additionally charged with misdemeanor obstruction for failure to open the door and being uncooperative with deputies. Terri Ann Mathis, 41, was also arrested, charged with misdemeanor obstruction and possession of methamphetamine.

Both Neal and Mathis are in custody at the Hall County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY 3/18/18 12:32 PM: An arrest has been made in a Hall County hit-and-run incident earlier this month that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

According to Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, George Tostenson, 50, of Flowery Branch was arrested Sunday, March 17 at a residence on Paul Drive.

Authorities had been searching for Tostenson since the incident on March 7.

Ware said Tostenson and the victim in the case were involved in a verbal altercation on Montgomery Drive near Gould Road close to McEver Elementary School when the fight escalated and Tostenson purposely hit the man with his vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

"The victim received serious but not life threatening injuries which required medical treatment," Ware said.

At the time of the alleged assault, Tostenson was wanted on some outstanding arrest warrants.

"These warrants included a State Court Probation warrant issued on August 17, 2018," Ware said. "His original charges include: aggressive driving, simple assault and obstruction."

Following the apparent hit-and-run, investigators with the Hall County Sheriff's Office took out a warrant for aggravated assault. The Georgia State Patrol also obtained warrants for traffic offenses related to the incident.

Tostenson was booked into the Hall County Jail, according to Ware.
