Closing arguments scheduled today in trial of starvation murder of Gwinnett girl

By AccessWDUN Staff

Closing arguments are scheduled for Monday, April 29 in the trial of Tiffany Moss, the Lawrenceville woman accused in the starvation murder of her young stepdaughter.

The body of Emani Moss, 10, was found burned in a trash can at an apartment complex in November 2013. The child died as a result of starvation, according to authorities.

Tiffany Moss chose to represent herself in the trial. During testimony last week, she declined to call any witnesses for her defense. She also did not take the stand in her own defense.

Eman Moss, the victim's father and the wife of the defendant, testified against his wife. He is serving a life sentence for his part in the child's death.

The trial is being held in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
