Atlanta United to face Real Salt Lake Friday

ATLANTA — Atlanta United returns to action Friday when it travels to face Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Atlanta United had its club record five-game win streak snapped Sunday with a 1-0 loss at New York Red Bulls, as well as the longest consecutive shutout win streak in MLS history. The shutout streak ended at 520 minutes, which is the eighth longest team streak in MLS history. Brad Guzan also cracked the individual shutout top-10 list with his streak of 520 minutes, the longest in MLS this season.
 
Atlanta will have another short week as the team finishes its three-game road trip at Real Salt Lake in its sixth match in 20 days. Atlanta is 2-0-0 all-time versus Real Salt Lake, including a 3-1 win at Rio Tinto Stadium in 2017. The team has recorded the most road wins in MLS since the start of 2017 (17) and has earned the most points of any Eastern Conference team from away matches in the Mountain and Pacific Standard Time zones since 2017 (5-1-2, 17 points).
 
Real Salt Lake is coming off a 3-0 home win against Toronto FC on May 18 thanks to goals from Damir Kreilach, Sebastian Saucedo and Jefferson Savarino. Real Salt Lake has won two games in a row and own a 3-2-0 record at Rio Tinto Stadium. Albert Rusnak leads the team with five goals on the season.
