The funeral for Nicholas Blane Dixon, 28, Gainesville will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Free Chapel Worship Center on McEver Road.
Visitation will begin Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Dixon was shot, while pursuing a car theft suspect on foot, Sunday evening.
Sheriff Gerald Couch said Dixon was shot once and the bullet hit just under his protective vest.
Four suspects in the incident have been apprehended.
Dixon leaves behind a wife and two small children, on nine-years-old, the youngest only four-months-old.
He was a three year veteran of the force.
