The Chief Judge of Forsyth County Superior Court, Jeff Bagley, has been elected administrative judge for the Ninth Judicial Administrative District.
The district consists of 15 counties divided into seven judicial circuits. The counties included Gwinnett, Hall, and Cherokee as well as 11 other counties north of Forsyth. The 29 Superior Court judges and 13 senior judges in the JAD make up the District Council of SuperiorCourt Judges.
In his role of administrative judge, Judge Bagley will be responsible for directing short- and long-term district plans as well as the oversight of district court administration. In addition, Judge Bagley will serve on both the Executive Committee of the Council of Superior Court Judges and the Judicial Council of Georgia.
“I am honored to have been selected by my peers to serve the Ninth District as administrative judge. As such, I will promote policies to improve the functioning of the judiciary in the district,” said Judge Bagley.
He has been a Superior Court judge since 2000.
