CLARKESVILLE — The Habersham County Commission will let the public decide whether the county issues nearly $32 million in bonds to fund a new jail.
At Monday night’s meeting the commission voted unanimously to place the issue on a Nov. 5 ballot.
The $31.7 million would finance construction of a 314-bed jail to keep pace with the county’s growth.
