Apotheca, an Iowa-based maker of homeopathics and herbal products has purchased the former Mincey Marble manufacturing facility on Brown’s Bridge Road in Gainesville.
The joint announcement was made this week by Apotheca and Mincey Marble, a manufacturer of cast marble products that had occupied the site for over 40 years before moving recently to its new location in the Gainesville Business Park off Calvary Church Road.
“We are thrilled to be part of a new legacy at this site where Mincey Marble successfully grew from a small family business into a major manufacturer,” said Apotheca CEO Mike Evans. “We have certainly enjoyed working with the Minceys from our initial due diligence to final closing of the property sale.”
“We wish all the best for Apotheca in their new location,” said Donna Mincey, President and CEO of Mincey Marble. “That site holds many good memories for our family and company, and we know Apotheca will find success there.”
Evans said Apotheca had outgrown its production facility on Centennial Circle in Gainesville and was pleased to find a larger facility that could be modified rather than constructing a new building.
