*Forsyth County has again received the highest bond ratings available from Moody’s (Aaa) and S&P (AAA).

*The annual Family Splash Bash fundraiser for Gateway Domestic Violence Center will be held Aug. 9, 6:30-8:30 at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center. 

*Dr. Erum Farooqi, a board-certified internist, has joined the Longstreet Clinic in Gainesville.  According to a Longstreet news release, Dr. Farooqi has a decade of experience in the field of Internal Medicine.

*The Stephens County Sheriff's Office is hosting the first "BushBond" 10k/5k/Fun Run to raise money for the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes. *State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville) recently received the David Levine Legislative Award from the Georgia Gerontology Society. Tanner was honored for championing and authoring house bills that support transportation efforts that benefit elderly Georgians.
