Forsyth County government officials are working on what they're calling a 'design initiave' for the southeastern part of the county, and they're planning a series of meetings to hear from stakeholders in the area.
Community gatherings will be held in mid-September, according to information released Friday by the county. Residents, business owners and private property owners are encouraged to sign up for the meetings.
During the facilitated gatherings, attendees will be invited to provide input on a variety of topics that will help shape the identity of southeastern Forsyth. The approximate boundaries for the area are State Hwy. 400 to the west, McGinnis Ferry Rd. to the south and north of State Hwy. 20 on the northern boundary.
The meetings will include discussions on a logo and tagline, as well as other marketing recommendations to help identify the area. The recommendations will help support a brand style as part of a larger placemaking initiative currently underway that will incorporate commercial design standards as an additional element of the project.
The specific dates and places for the meetings have not yet been released.
