The Hall County School District is offering a $2,000 reward for information after a "non-specific bomb threat" was issued against schools in the county.

In a media release sent out late Thursday evening, Stan Lewis, Director of Communications & Athletics for the district, said they received a tip from a concerned citizen regarding a threatening post they had seen on social media.

"Working with law enforcement, the Hall County School District has taken steps and precautions to ensure that all Hall County students, team members, and campuses are safe," Lewis said. "The district looks forward to a normal school day tomorrow."

No information regarding the specific content of the online threat was made available.

In response to the threat, school officials have opted to post a $2,000 reward for "any information that leads to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the threat."

Lewis added that in order to ensure the safety of students and faculty, the district will undertake additional security measures throughout the day.

Anyone with information on the threat is encouraged to either call 770-503-3232, text 678-238-1772 or complete an online form by visiting this website.
