No arrests, lots of questions in apparent Hall County stabbing incident

By B.J. Williams

Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators said they have more questions than answers in an apparent stabbing outside Suburban Mobile Home Park on Highland Terrace Thursday.

Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said a passerby called 911 Thursday, Aug. 29 just after 5 p.m. in reference to what the caller referred to as "abnormal behavior."

Wilbanks said they found a Hispanic female with blood all over her body. She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for surgery and was unable to speak with investigators.

"[A] Hispanic male was highly intoxicated and uncooperative toward law enforcement," Wilbanks said in an email statement. "He initially mentioned something vague to EMS personnel about them being assaulted by unknown people with whom they were riding in a vehicle, but provided nothing further."

Wilbanks said the man stopped talking to investigators.

"As of yesterday [Friday] afternoon, investigators still didn’t have anything else to go on," Wilbanks said.

At this point there have been no arrests in the incident.

Investigators are hoping to talk with the woman who was injured to get more details on what happened.
