*The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Career Coach will be at the Cumming Library Jan. 9, 10:00-2:00, and at the Spout Springs Library in Flowery Branch Jan. 15, 10:00-2:00, to offer assistance to job-seekers.

*Suwanee BeerFest tickets go on sale Jan. 10.   The 10th annual event is scheduled March 14.  Tickets and more information are available at SuwaneeBeerFest.com.

*Floyd H. Baldwin, president of Gainesville-based Industrial Properties Group, Inc., has been sworn in as the new president of the Georgia Chapter of SIOR, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.   His one-year term will run through the end of this year.

*The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce has plans to welcome new members and expanding businesses with three ribbon-cutting ceremonies this month:  Oakwood Family Dental, Jan. 7, 10:00; Oasis On Lanier Personal Care Home, Gainesville, Jan. 9, 4:00; and, Smile Doctors Braces, Gainesville, Jan. 30, 11:45.

*A Habersham EMC contractor, Davey Resources Group, will begin an electric system inventory in the Baldwin area this week. DRG employees, trucks and ATVs will be marked as HEMC contractors.  A posting on the EMC's Facebook page says this work will enable the electric co-op to further reduce outage response time by more accurately identifying device locations.
