As repairs continue in flood-damaged parts of Habersham County, the City of Demorest has lifted a Boil Water Advisory that was posted Sunday, Oct. 11.
A number of pipes that are part of the Demorest Water System were washed out during the heavy rainfall resulting from the aftermath of Hurricane Delta. At that time, city officials anticipated the repairs would take several days, and the resulting Boil Water Advisory would be in place for most of the week.
City Manager Kim Simonds announced the lifting of the advisory on Thursday afternoon.
