The bridge on State Route 9 at Turner's Corner in the Cleveland area was closed to traffic Friday evening for safety precautions.
Georgia Department of Transportation bridge crews are on site this morning trying to determine if debris left behind by Tropical Storm Zeta caused any damage to the bridge's support structures.
Flagging operators have been on the scene directing traffic.
There was no word as of 9 a.m. how long the bridge might be closed.
