GAINESVILLE — Gainesville's venture into the state's largest classification has been pretty good so far.
The Red Elephants are tied for the Region 6-7A lead with Denmark and knocked off one of Class 7A’s top offenses, holding South Forsyth to 14 points en route to a 28-14 win last week.
The defense, led by Yusif Ali and Quamaine Rucker, was a major factor in the Red Elephants' win and what gave them the edge in Week 9.
