It was a good night for eight of the area's teams last week. This week, they'll try to push into the quarterfinals of the Georgia High School Association state playoffs.
Buford, Cherokee Bluff, Commerce, Dawson County, Flowery Branch, Jefferson, North Hall and Rabun County all advanced to the second round.
