Lanier Technical College's Spring Semester 2020 enrollment is the largest of any academic term in the history of the College: 4,707 students.
This is the second semester in a row that the school has had an all-time record enrollment. This semester's record-setting enrollment is occurring in one of the strongest economies on record in the state. Typically, Georgia's technical colleges have lower enrollment during a strong economy.
This Spring Semester, which began a few weeks ago, saw 1,650 new students admitted to Lanier Tech.
Additionally, enrollment at the Hall (Oakwood) and Barrow Campuses are at all-time highs for individual campuses. Enrollment at the Forsyth Campus is the largest ever for a January start and is second only to Fall 2019 in terms of all-time enrollment.
Prior to 2019 and 2020, Lanier Tech's record-setting enrollment occurred in the recession years of 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.
