“Rock” Becomes Symbol of Strength
Date: March 26, 2020
Gainesville, GA – As the world continues to face uncertainty during this difficult time, Gainesville City School System is amazed by the resilience shown by the community - symbolized by the “Rock”, a pillar of Gainesville High School’s legacy. "If there's a symbol of strength, durability, and resilience in this community, it's the Rock,” said GHS principal Jamie Green. The Rock serves as encouragement that everyone is pulling through this COVID-19 ordeal - together. With dedicated teams of educators, school bus drivers, school nutrition staff, and school social workers who continue to serve families during school closure and students and parents who are adjusting to new learning methods and new routines, the GCSS community is united to withstand and overcome adversity - and will remain as solid as a rock.
