Amazon.com Inc. recently leased more than one million square feet of space at Lanier Logistics Center in Buford, according to information released this week by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
The online retail giant has leased two buildings, one around 815,000 square feet in size and the other at just over 300,000 square feet. The buildings will be used as a delivery station, according to published reports. IDI Logistics is the developer of the new buildings for Amazon. In March, Amazon had posted openings in Buford for management positions.
Lanier Logistics Center is a 112-acre development located on Buford Highway at Lanier Islands Parkway near I-985.
