Local hospitalizations for COVID-19 continue to trend upward, according to the latest numbers from Northeast Georgia Health System.
According to patient data from Tuesday, July 28, 173 patients were being treated at NGHS facilities for the novel coronavirus, with 75 patients awaiting test results for the virus.
A week ago, 141 patients were hospitalized for COVID-19 in NGHS facilities; the number of hospitalizations was 64 on July 1.
