District 2 Public Health sets school immunization clinics

By AccessWDUN Staff

While some students have already resumed in-person classes, others are learning remotely as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Georgia Public Health officials say they are concerned parents are forgetting that they need to get immunizations for all students as the new school year gets underway.

Children entering kindergarten, middle school and high school are required to have certain vaccinations, according to District 2 Public Health officials. They have set up special clinics for the next few weeks to ensure all children are able to get the necessary vaccines.

The vaccinations will be given by appointment only. Public health officials say anyone who has an appointment will need to wear a face covering and observe social distancing to help prohibit the spread of COVID-19.
