HELEN – The Helen City Commission has a new mayor and mayor pro tem for 2021.
Lee Landress, who served as mayor pro tem in 2020, was elected to serve as mayor in 2021. He was sworn in by City Clerk Marilyn Chastain during Tuesday’s commission meeting and began his duties immediately.
Commissioners selected Fred Garmon to serve as mayor pro tem. Garmon also was sworn in Tuesday by Chastain.
