GAINESVILLE — Gainesville kept its playoff hopes alive with a 13-6 upset win over Region 6-7A leader Denmark Friday at City Park.
Khaliq Maddux sealed the game when he fell on a Denmark fumble late in the game.
Naim Cheeks had an 88-yard touchdown run, and Baxter Wright connected with Ellis Pitts for a 21-yard pass.
Gainesville (5-4, 2-3 Region 6-7A) finds itself in another must-win situation next week in Coal Mountain. They'll travel to North Forsyth.
