GAINESVILLE — Freshman running back Zeke Clanton ran for 145 and three touchdowns to lead Lanier Christian to an 80-8 thumping of Sherwood Christian in the first round of the GAPPS AA playoffs at Cabbell Field.
Clanton did all of his damage on just seven carries for the game. Junior quarterback Carter Raulerson ran for a score and passed for another while junior receiver Camden Hohman caught 3 passes for 74 yards and 2 TDs fo the Lightning.
Lanier Christian next will travel to Macon on Friday to take on undefeated and No. 1 seed Covenant Academy in the semifinals.
