By AccessWDUN staff

A 49-year-old South Carolina man was run over and killed Saturday in Forsyth County in an accident involving the cleaning of a concrete truck, the sheriff's office said in a release.

Brian Crook of Piedmont, South Carolina, was cleaning the piping on the truck after pumping concrete for a house under construction in the Hickory Lakeside subdivision off Pilgrim Mill Road around 11:20 a.m. Saturday. During the process, an air pocket from the truck's piping forcefully pushed Crook backwards into the road, where he was hit by a 2007 Ford F750 dump truck.

Crook died at the scene.

Forsyth County deputies are continuing to investigate the accident. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified.
