Resurfacing began Friday and will continue for the next three months on a five-mile stretch of SR 20/Buford Drive in Gwinnett County.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said single-lane closures will be used to conduct resurfacing and patching along Buford Drive from Laurel Drive extending to SR 316/University Parkway.
The work began on Saturday, Sept. 10. Lane closures will take place overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
construction partners will utilize single lane closures in order to perform resurfacing and patching along approximately 5 miles of the corridor. Locations will change within project limits nightly. Once patching is complete and resurfacing begins, the project has an estimated completion date of April 2022.
GDOT officials said exact work dates may change due to weather or other factors.
