FLOWERY BRANCH – A lunch-hour time of prayer for the city, the county, the State of Georgia and for the nation has been organized by a group of Flowery Branch residents for Monday.
The event will be held on the lawn outside of the Flowery Branch City Hall main entrance on September 27th and is slated to begin promptly at noon.
Pastors from four different churches in Flowery Branch will be leading the open air event as concerns for the area and for the nation will be lifted before God.
“Publicly seeking God’s help, forgiveness and guidance should happen more than just one day a year,” one of the organizers said, referring to the National Day of Prayer held annually in May.
“Come join us as we pray for our governments in a 30-45 minute patriotic program,” a media release states.
The weather forecast for Monday looks to cooperate as our pattern of warm, sunny weather continues through next week, but in the event that isn’t the case the back-up location will be the sanctuary at Flowery Branch UMC at 5212 Spring Street, one block north of City Hall.
The public is invited to attend and attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs as needed.
