DACULA, Ga. — The Buford defense stole the show Friday night as the Wolves took down Dacula, 50-7.

The Falcons were held to just 25 total yards with the Wolves holding Dacula to -28 rushing yards on the night. On the other side of the football, Buford tallied 300 yards of offense, nearly 200 of which were on the ground.

Buford's Justice Haynes got the scoring started with a 2-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. The scoreboard really got moving in the second quarter as the Wolves scored 22 points in the period, starting with a 3-yard rush from Trelain Maddox early in the quarter. Just three minutes later, Haynes sprinted 40 yards for the score, pushing the lead to 22-0. The period's scoring ended with a 5-yard rush from Christian Butler to take the 29-0 lead.

Buford didn't stop there, scoring 21 in the third. KJ Bolden caught a 5-yard pass from Dylan Wittke to take a 36-0 lead before a scoop-and-score just 10 seconds later further stretched the lead. Justin Baker ran in from 16 yards out with 6:22 to play in the third to wrap up the Buford scoring before Dacula scored later in the frame to get to the final.

Buford will travel to Mountain View next week to start a two-game road swing to wrap up the regular season.
