LOGANVILLE, Ga. — Both Lakeview Academy cross country teams qualified for the GIAA state championship field with strong showings on Thursday at the Region 4-3A championship at Loganville Christian Academy.
Lakeview senior Henry Stewart and junior Liv Lekas won the individual races. Stewart won the boys race with a time of 18:10:77 while Lekas took the girls title with a 21:29:09 time.
Eighth-grader Jalyn Purdy place sixth and senior Catherine was seventh in the girls race.
Both teams will travel to Macon next Saturday in the GIAA State Championship races.
