The headquarters for the Athens-Clarke County Democratic Party was reportedly burglarized over the weekend, and police are investigating.
According to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald, the burglary was discovered Sunday at the headquarters on Sunset Drive.
Athens-Clarke County Police told the Banner-Herald that the burglar flipped over tables and stole a laptop.
The headquarters had been locked Saturday evening. The burglary was discovered the next morning by a person who had shown up for a meeting.
The doors were locked when the person arrived Sunday morning. Police said there were no signs of a forced entry.
Police do not have any suspects in the case.
