A Gainesville man was arrested by the Hall County Sheriff's Office on November 30 after he broke into a home on October 30 and began assaulting both a male and female inside of the residence.
A release from the agency states Jorge Andres Garcia, 29, caused bruises, cuts and a chipped tooth to the male victim during the altercation at a home on East Main Street. The incident happened at about 5 a.m.
He is also accused of dragging the female victim from her bed and dropping her on the floor as well as stealing her iPhone.
Garcia faces the following charges:
- First-degree burglary
- Battery
- Simple Battery FVA
- Terrorist threats and acts
- Theft by taking
Garcia was arrested at his home on Athens Highway. He had been on the run since the incident occurred.
