TALLAPOOSA, Ga. — Rabun County has been able to score a lot of points under the Shaw regime. Looks like new head coach Michael Davis will keep that trend going.

The Wildcats took no time at all finding their groove on offense under the former offensive coordinator, taking down Haralson County, 49-3, Friday night on the road.

Rabun quarterback Keegan Stover went 15-for-22 through the air for 368 yards and five touchdowns to bolster the air raid that totaled 424 yards through the air. Combined with 101 yards on the ground, the Wildcats put up 525 yards of total offense compared to just 91 for the Rebels.

Stover tallied four of his touchdown passes in the first half, starting with a 22-yard pitch and catch to Lang Windham just four minutes in. Then, Stover and Jaden Gibson found their stride, connecting for the final four touchdowns for the quarterback. The duo connected for touchdowns of 18, 45, 85 and 89 yards, respectively, between the late part of the first quarter and midway through the third.

Haralson opened the second half scoring with a 19-yard field goal to cap a nine-play, 54-yard drive that made the score 28-3 at the time. Windham would rush in from six yards out to push the lead out to 42-3 before Jake Payne caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Ty Truelove.

Gibson finished with eight catches for 273 yards on the night.

Rabun County will open up its home schedule next week with a matchup against Stephens County.
