Cornelia has wrapped up its inaugural Summer Nights Festival series, presented by the Cornelia Entertainment District businesses and sponsors.
Held Thursday night, the event featured about 15 vendors, live entertainment, a sip-n-stroll, children’s activities, and extended hours for downtown businesses.
Nokie and Ken Moore have attended each of the monthly events and she says the festivals always have 15 to 25 vendors and bring a lot of activity to downtown Cornelia.
“The restaurants are full, the stores are full,” she says. “It’s just been, in my opinion, a very, very positive thing for the city of Cornelia.”
Centered around Irvin, Hodges, and Front streets, the Cornelia Downtown Entertainment District is dog-friendly with options for outdoor dining.
The first Catch Me In Cornelia Summer Nights Festival event in May was rained out, but events were held as scheduled on the fourth Thursday of June, July, and August.
