DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Lumpkin County scored 41 first-half points on their way to the first 3-0 start in 20 years Friday night as they took down Franklin County 48-0 at the Burial Grounds.

Cooper Scott got things going for the Indians with 8:48 to play in the first with his first rushing touchdown of the night, followed just 90 seconds later with a Will Wood scoop-and-score that doubled the Lumpkin lead. After Mason Sullens rushed in with 4:02 left in the opening stanza, Scott scored again just two minutes into the second period to stretch the lead to 27-0.

The Indians didn't stop there as Sullens scored again with 6:33 to play in the first half, setting up Scott to rush for his third short-yardage scamper of the night four minutes before halftime.

Wood finished the scoring in the third quarter with a 62-yard touchdown sprint.

Lumpkin County will host Temple next week on Homecoming.
