The Georgia Department of Public Safety announced on Friday, Sept. 9, the death of a Trooper Cadet from the 113th Trooper School.
Trooper Cadet Patrick Dupree #847 was performing a training exercise along with other members of the 113th Trooper School at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center on Thursday.
According to a press release from the GPS, after completing the exercise, Trooper Cadet Dupree collapsed unexpectedly.
Life-saving measures were performed by trained medical staff on-site. Dupree was rushed to a local hospital where he passed away.
The Department of Public Safety sends its sincerest condolences and prayers to the family and co-workers of Trooper Cadet Dupree.
