JASPER, Ga. – The offense came alive for Dawson County as the Tigers went on the road and took down Pickens, 42-7.
After most of the first quarter went by scoreless, the Tigers pulled out some trickery as Sawyer Bearden threw a touchdown pass to Dom LeBlanc for 54 yards to get the Tigers on the board. The Dragons answered early in the second quarter, but Dawson County responded with a nearly five minute long drive that ended with Bearden punching it in from five yards out to retake the lead, 14-7.
LeBlanc got back into the endzone early in the third on a 27-yard passing score from Ryan Bannister. From there, Blake Arp pushed his way in from a yard out, Alex Stewart had a pick-six and Bearden rushed in for his second rushing score of the night to get to the final score.
LeBlanc finished with seven catches for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Bannister threw for 97 yards and rushed for 71 to pace the Tiger offense.
Dawson County will play host to Wesleyan next week.
