By AccessWDUN Staff

CLEVELAND, Ga. — Habersham Central ran its win streak to eight straight after taking a tough 59-49 road win over rival White County on the road on Friday.

The Raiders (8-2) used a big third quarter to blow open a close game. Habersham Central led 16-15 after the first quarter and 25-23 at halftime. But the Raiders put a 24-point third period together behind 10 points from Judge Wilbanks to run out to a 49-37 lead heading into the fourth.

Wilbanks, who finished with 12 points, was one of four players in double figures for Habersham. Josiah Mccurry and Gober each had 13 points and Brannon Gaines added 11 points for the Raiders.

Noah Futch led White County (3-10) with 10 points. Braxton Anderson had 9 for the Warriors.

The Bears won their fifth straight game on Friday in the Fannin County Christmas Tournament in Blue Ridge.

Bluff (7-4) are heating up at just the right time as they get ready for the Lanierland tournament next week.

However, Friday's win was tough against a Dragons squad (8-5) that came in on a 5-game win streak of their own.

The Bears led just 13-11 after the first quarter and took a slim 24-23 lead into halftime. Pickens kept it close trailing just 35-32 heading into the fourth but Bluff was able to hold on down the stretch.
