Forsyth County was recently fined several thousand dollars by state officials due to violations related to a recent sewer spill.
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division reportedly fined the county $6,065 for the violations.
An enforcement order from the agency cited raw sewage spills into local waterways and dry land, along with failure to conduct proper analyses and "permit effluent violations."
WSB TV reported the violations lasted from July to September.
The county was ordered to comply with rules and pay the fine as part of the enforcement order.
