Northeast Georgia Medical Center Barrow was recently recognized as a 2022 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence award winner by Press Ganey, a leading third-party company that tracks and analyzes patient satisfaction and employee engagement in health care.
According to a press release from NGMC, the award means that the organization is in the top 5% of healthcare providers driving employee engagement in the last year.
“Our staff at NGMC Barrow continually step up and respond to challenges thrown their way, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to everyday emergencies,” Sonja McLendon, interim president of NGMC Barrow, said. “This award is a true testament to how dedicated and focused we are in our mission to improve the health of Barrow County and the surrounding community.”
NGMC Barrow specializes in emergency care, surgery, orthopedics, heart care, imaging/radiology, laboratory services, pulmonary rehabilitation, wound healing, stroke care and more.
Additionally, since joining Northeast Georgia Health System in 2017, NGMC Barrow has been recognized as one of the “Top 5 Small Hospitals” in the state by Georgia Trend magazine. It also earned designation as a Primary Stroke Treatment Center and added 3D mammography to better detect breast cancer.
