A West Hall High School graphic design student’s logo design was recently chosen by Mercedes- Benz Vans following a partnership with the school.
According to a social media post from West Hall High’s Facebook Page, Mercades- Benz Vans asked the students to submit logo designs of their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans in action.
“The student designs showcase the van lifestyle and destinations that are possible when owning a Sprinter Van,” the post read. “Mercedes-Benz Vans selected their favorite student designed logos which will be used on the lifestyle merchandise collection and giveaway items for multiple events throughout the year.”
The requirements for the partnership had strict regulations and parameters and actively gave them real-world experience by allowing them to practice talking with clients, problem-solving design elements, final execution of details, and working with feedback and revisions.
After narrowing down the top 10 finalists from 150 upper- level graphic students, the Mercedes team attended West Hall High's recent Student Showcase for partners in education and revealed Ali Svetz, a sophomore and second-year graphics student, was chosen as the winner.
