A release from the Hall County Fire and Rescue Department said a barn fire heavily damaged a structure in Lula Sunday evening.
After 6:30 p.m. Hall County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 8700 block of Belton Bridge Road in Lula for reports of a barn fire.
Upon arrival, Engine 2 found a fully involved barn with no exposures.
Crews drew water from the nearest hydrant and began to attack the bulk of the fire.
Reportedly, about 300 bales of hay and farm equipment were found inside the barn.
The structure was still burning overnight, and HCFR personnel will be working to fully extinguish all of the hot spots.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
