Fire destroys vacant Hall County home overnight

By Access WDUN Staff

No one was injured after a house fire early Tuesday morning on Friendship Road in Hall County.

A release from Hall County Fire Rescue said crews were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of Friendship Road for reports of a residential fire.

Units found a fully involved vacant two-story home, upon arrival.

The fire was large enough that the ladder truck was needed.

Much of the fire was then extinguished once HCFR was able to utilize aerial operations.

Although this was a vacant home, HCFR personnel searched the residence and confirmed that no one was present during the fire.

The structure is considered to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation by the county's Fire Marshal’s Office.
