Gainesville man threatens neighbor with 'what looked like a sword' after noise complaint

By Christian Ashliman Anchor/Reporter

A Gainesville man was booked into the Hall County Jail Saturday evening following a noise complaint incident between two neighbors.

Abdussaboor Shamsuddeen, 63, of Gainesville, reportedly entered his neighbor's residence in the 2000 block of Walker Street after his neighbor banged on the wall. The two people involved in the incident had adjoining residences, and the neighbor banged on the wall due to a complaint of loud music, according to Hall County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman B.J. Williams.

Following the banging on the wall, Shamsuddeen reportedly became angry and went to his neighbor's door and entered the residence without permission. He then pushed the victim to the ground and threatened him with "what looked like a sword," the sheriff's office reports.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office received reports of the incident just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Shamsuddeen was charged with alleged aggravated assault and burglary and is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond at the last report.
