A Clarke County man is facing several federal charges for alleged sexual exploitation of children through an online file sharing program.
A GBI press release says the arrest of 31-year old Taylor Harding Gibson of Clarke County on Tuesday, July 18 comes after a May 2023 investigation into the distribution of child sexual abuse to other individuals.
The distribution of materials allegedly went through an online peer to peer file sharing program.
The investigation led GBi and other area detectives to Gibson's home, which led to his subsequent arrest.
GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes unit credits Athens-Clarke County Police and U.S. Homeland Security for their assistance behind the investigations.
