The suspected shooter in a Thursday afternoon shooting in Pendergrass has been taken into custody.
According to Jackson County authorities, the shooting happened around 3:30 P.M. outside of a subdivision after an altercation between the victim and the suspect.
Jackson County Sherrif Janis Mangum said the victim fled the scene after the shooting and has not been located.
The suspect fled the scene as well but was later found in a subdivision.
The suspect's name has not been released because of their age but is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, shooting from the roadway, and aggravated assault.
